"Once a Crusader,
Always a Crusader"
Dear Students and Parents,
It is my firm belief that God must be first and at the center of all you do in life. Family must be the rock and support in life's journey and one’s quest for knowledge. I am humbled to have been selected to lead the students of St. Bernard Catholic School for the upcoming 2009-2010 school year. I know in my heart that the Lord is guiding me in my preparations.
St. Bernard is an absolutely amazing place. The faculty and staff at St. Bernard are committed to the whole student. The environment St. Bernard Catholic School has to offer is one of forward thinking, where the development of wisdom and knowledge, as well as academics, will continue to be challenging. The mind is very important, but at the center of all education is the spiritual development of the soul. We must all continue working to build on our reputation of being a strong college-preparatory, Catholic Christian institution. Remember that our focus and commitment must be on the spiritual education of your sons and daughters as we challenge them academically.
As developments occur over the next several months, you will be kept informed. My way of communicating is open and frank, and I will be fair and consistent in my decisions. If you have any concerns or suggestions, I ask that you write them down and call to set up an appointment so we can discuss them. Parents, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, and all members of the students' family are welcome to visit and participate in their educational experience.
I invite you to visit the school for it is truly holy. It is a place where young Christian Leaders of Tomorrow are surrounded by the best teachers in education and are given the opportunity to express themselves without the fear of peer pressure or ridicule. Our school will continue to grow and develop into one of the leading educational institutions in Lafayette region, and with God's will and help, in the State of Louisiana. I look forward to working with each and every one of you in the coming days, months, and years. May God bless you, shine on you and bring happiness in your life.
Yours in Christ,
Robin L. Couvillon,
